FUNDACION DE LA ASOCIACION
La Asociación Dominicana de Caballos de Paso Inc, (ADOPASO), se fundo el 19 de Junio de 1968 como entidad sin fines de lucro, bajo una necesidad de agrupar a los dueños y criadores de caballos de Paso Fino, así como a los aficionados a este noble deporte con miras a fomentar la crianza y mejoramiento de los caballos de paso, organizar y celebrar exhibiciones, adiestrar jinetes, impulsar y estimular el deporte ecuestre, ofrecer a sus asociados esparcimiento y diversión y promover las mejores relaciones con entidades de la misma clase en Republica Dominicana y el extranjero, además de llevar un control de los registros Genealógicos de los ejemplares de Paso.
CUANTOS SOCIOS CUENTAN Y QUE SERVICIOS PRESTAN
Adopado cuenta con 148 socios activos y disponemos de los servicios de pesebreras para sus asociados y criadores, de la organización de los registros Genealógicos de sus ejemplares, facilidades de pertenecer a la única entidad federada a CONFEPASO en el país, organizar exposición de ejemplares aficionados. Además de que la Republica Dominicana y ADOPASO sienten un gran orgullo de haber realizado en Octubre del 1993 la 1ra Mundial “ Confepaso 93” de Caballos de Paso, significó el poder recibir en esta media isla caribeña con nuestro sol, blancas arenas y nuestra hospitalidad a los caballistas de todas partes que vinieron a la tierra que mas amo Colon, a compartir con nuestros momentos estelares.
Otro logro de ADOPASO significó el haber realizado el II campeonato Mundial de Jinetes y Amazonas “Felix Santiago”, en la ciudad ganadera del 14 al 16 de Agosto de 1998.
En Noviembre del 2001, ADOPASO nuevamente tuvo a su cargo la organización de una mundial, esta vez la 5ta. Mundial de Caballos de Paso. Esta se celebro en La ciudad Primada de America, Santo Domingo.
Contamos con programas a beneficio del caballo de Paso y el gremio equino en la Republica Dominicana como son, charlas sobre chalaneria y aperos del Caballo, charlas sobre los nuevos sistemas de juzgamientos, clínicas o practicas para jinetes y amazonas aficionados, intercambio internacional sobre el uso de inseminación artificial de Padrotes reconocidos internacionalmente para mejoramiento genérico del Caballo de Paso, participación de ejemplares nativos en competencias Nacionales e Internacionales. Calendario anual de competencias Nacionales y Exhibiciones de caballos en diferentes pueblos del país.
