It's streaming allot smoother this time.  I miss GalopandoTV though.

Time to pull out the stop watch and see just how "hard" our champions have to work to earn their title.

Will the trainers be relieved or worried?  What is the limit their horses can perform?  2 minutes?  5 minutes?  Will a 10 minute work out cause our horses to break down?

Let's find out.

jejejeje!   I don't think the horses will break!  and I also support a change of system!  after all this is the GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

lets do the math!

400 horses x 10 minutes work off for each horse will = 4000 minutes that will equal to apprx 66 hours  without counting  entering the arena, calculating, presenting the ribbons and Lunch and Dinner breaks!

The show is 8 days..........  so!  do you think could be done??  I think so!

did I do the math right?

Tell you what.  Let's get some simple stats and then compare it to the IPHF "championship" show in November.

I'm creating a spreadsheet now during lunch break.  It'll be interesting to compare how much IPHF "improves" the actual performance and judging of horses.

Seems to me the emphasis is not on if a horse can perform consistently through sustained work offs, but on the politics of what is "liked" by what judges are picked.

A good horse should stand out among the crowd by what he is able to do not by whether or not we think having shoes or no shoes, having a conference of judges or one judge, giving several ribbons instead of one.

Pen, paper, stop watch ready to go.
