The YOUTH MUNDIAL will be held in the month of July the week of the
13-20. The show has been moved toMedellin, Colombia.
The Dominican Republic was not able to fulfill the responsibility so Confepaso voted to move it to Colombia. There is some interest among our youth and their families to represent the USA at this International Competition.
In order to select the USA team, the PFHA youth committee has set the qualifying workshop/show for the following date and locations:
Well! Tonight the official opening ceremony was celebrated in the city of Medellin, Colombia.
It was very emotional! ceremony, I couldn't help to noticed Dominican Republic not participated in the ceremony, maybe they decided in protest not to participate. (just my opinion)
Anyway! we still don't have the names of USA team members! what a shame! to see how little publicity and support our kids are getting, is sad.

This CONFEPASO Equitation Youth Mundial has 244 outstanding riders (the largest number of riders up to now in this kind of competition) from eight countries: Aruba, Colombia, Curacao, Ecuador, Panama, Puerto Rico, United States, and Venezuela.
The horse bank has 148 high quality Paso horses: Paso Fino, Pure Trocha, Trote and Galope, and Trocha and Galope.

The US Paso Equitation Team is proud to share the results in the VII Mundial de Jinetes y Amazonas - CONFEPASO held in Medellin, Colombia (July 14 to 20):
Daniel Londoño (male riders 12 to 14 years old) riding "Cereza del V-O" (Paso Fino), fourth place out of 20 competitors.
Michelle Gomez (female riders 15 to 17 years old) riding "Pincelada de la Florida" (Paso Fino), Bronce medal (second place), out of 27 competitors.
Debbie Wolkowicz (female riders 21 to 24 years old) riding "Prestigio de la Gabriela" (Trote and Galope), Silver medal (first place), out of
14 competitors.
