In Loving Memory
On June 10, 2008 long time PFHA member and breeder/trainer of Paso Fino Horses, Gordon Hall, Jr., of New Colombia, PA, was killed in a motorcycle accident during a severe thunder storm in upstate New York. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Brenda, who is on our Recreational Rider Committee, and their son, Colby, as well as by many other family members and numerous friends and co-workers. He will be missed."

That's right 87 Day left until Nationals, that's less than 3 months away!! Don't miss out on the lowest fees offered for entries at Nationals. If your entry is received prior to midnight August 1, 2008, you will not only secure your name in the program for 2008, you'll only pay $70. After August 1st, but before midnight August 22nd, the price per entry will be $100. All other entries will cost a significantly higher amount, $300 per class. If you have already pre-entered your horse before the August 22nd cut-off date but with to enter it into any additional classes after August 22nd, then you will only have to pay $140. So, don't miss out on this opportunity to pay the lowest fee offered for entries at Nationals. Just a little suggestion...if you plan on attending Nationals, but you are not sure that your horse has received the required twenty (20) points in the class you wish to show in, you can register for the show now and pay the $70 entry fee, and if your horse does not qualify by August 31, 2008, then you will be refunded your entry fee(s) after the show is complete.
Fabulous Futurity Class Entries
All entries for the Fabulous Futurity classes MUST be made by midnight, August 1, 2008. Post entries for Fabulous Futurity classes are not allowed.
NOTE: the last date to qualify for Nationals is August 31, 2008, it is suggested to send your entry to be received before the midnight August 1, 2008 deadline. If the horse does not qualify your fees will be refunded after the completion of the show.

Nationals
Don't delay on taking care of all of your necessary credentials for this year's Nationals If you still need to get any of your certificates updated (ex: owner transfers, castration of a stallion) you need to contact Carolyn Ritchie in Registrations at dirreg@pfha.org as soon as possible. Also, if you need to request a current membership card and/or update your Amateur Owner Status, you can do this by contacting Rodney Wolfe in Memberships at mbrsecy@pfha.org.
Don't forget to access your very own copy of the Prize List at www.pfha.org, and look for the 2008 Grand Nationals icon on the right side of the screen. There recently has been some very important updates to the prize list involving contacts for advertisements and the 2008 Breeders' Sweepstakes.

Youth Mundial
The Youth Equitation Mundial will take place in Medellin, Colombia July 13th through the 20th, 2009. At present the USA Team consists of twenty-one riders selected by their coaches. Not all of them have the resources to attend this bi-annual event. The Committee is requesting your support so we can send a competitive team to the Mundial. They are in need of sponsorships for our riders. The cost of transportation, lodging and registration is approximately $2,000. Please contact one of the following for your pledge:
