ATTENTION!! Important announcement about Nationals...anyone who ordered the Prize list and has received a copy of it by mail, expect a letter in your mailbox from PFHA with updated information for the Breeders' Sweepstakes. The list of Stallions for the Breeders' Sweepstakes has been revised and you need to disregard the list that was used in the orginal prize list. Anyone who has downloaded the prize list prior to June 1st, needs to go to www.pfha.org and view the revisions that have been posted on our website for pages 29 and 30 concerning the Breeders' Sweepstakes.
This year at Nationals, there will be an awards banquet on Thursday, in the Georgia Building on the show grounds. Some of the awards will be presented at this dinner. There will be a live band, food and dancing too!! You can dress up or dress casual for this party. Please, no jeans, shorts or t-shirts.
Shows: This Week
This weekend on June 6 - 8th, the Ozark Empire(www.ozarkempirepasofino.org) is hosting the Midwest Classic X in Springfield, IL. Judges will be Don Schanche, Sharon Londono, Kelley Cox and Ellen Perez. The Steward for that show will be Lynne Ridgeway. European Paso Fino Championship Show- July 31st to August 3, 2008 - Rieden/Kreuth, Germany
The 3rd Open European Championships for Paso Finos will be jointly held with the European Championships for the Tennessee Walker Horse and Paso Peruano breeds in Reiden-Kreuth. The PFAE would like to invite all owners, riders and aficionados of the Paso Fino breed to this event. The facitility is one of Europe's most renowned equine showgrounds, set within luscious fields and woods.
The show expects 70 Paso Finos from all over Germany, Switzerland, Austria, England and Ireland to participate in the event. All classes will be judged by US PFHA judges: Ellen Perez and German Higuera. On Sunday evening there will be a fantastic dinner right inside the ring, inside the main arena, with fun classes and show demonstrations, i.e. fiery Paso Fino horses dancing between tables!!!
