Fedequinas Show SystemThe system of showing in Fedequinas sanctioned shows:
These are the categories of exhibitions (shows) under Fedequinas:
1. - Feria Exposición Grado A Nacional
2. - Feria Exposición Grado A
3. - Feria Exposición Grado B
4. - Festival
Grade A Shows:
1. Judged by 3 judges
2. Must have at least 200 horses competing
3. Size of city
4. Amount of accomodations available
5. Size of sounding board
6. Number of stalls available
7. Endorsement by regional association.
8. Points are awarded to the horses placing 1-5, as well as points for Grand and Reserve Champion?*
Grade B Shows:
1. Judged by 1 judge
2. Must have at least 100 horses competing
3. Size of city
4. Amount of accomodations available
5. Number of stalls available
6. Size of sounding board
7. Endorsement by a regional association
8. Point values are 50% of points that one would receive in a Grade A show*
Festivals
1. One Judge
2. No points
3. Size of city
4. Amount of accomodations available
If either the Grade A or Grade B show fails to meet the requirements set by Fedequinas, the show will be downgraded to the next level, for the show held the following year.
*Points awarded throughout the show season, are used to determine titles for Best Stallion, Mare, Sire, Dam, Gelding, Breeder and Exhibitor of the Year.
People commonly compete at Grade B Shows and Festivals to give their schooling horses show ring experience.
SHOW CLASSES:
All four modalities include the following classes at each show and are shown as individual groups. One modality will hold all of it's
classes, before another set of classes begins for the next modality.
Mares:
18-26 mos.(lead rope)
32-38 mos.(schooling)
38-48 mos.
48-60 mos.
60-72 mos.
> 72 mos.
Stallions:
18-26 mos.(lead rope)
32-38 mos.(schooling)
38-48 mos.
48-60 mos.
60-72 mos.
> 72 mos.
Geldings
There is one gelding class held for each modality...all ages are allowed to compete in this one class
