I have mixed feelings:

On the one hand, how sad to lose any living thing at birth! I would be devastated no matter how it was conceived.

On the other hand, shouldn't we focus on our current population of horses to make sure Terremoto "lives" on through our many efforts to maintain the quality and diversity of our breed?

I'm concerned that we are focusing too much attention on one horse behaving as if without him, our breed is at risk. Our breed should be able to stand not with just one loss but many if it is to succeed in the future.

I think Roberto (OSITO) feels that he owes Terremoto a second chance, since he was only bred to 85 mares before being brutally castrated..

I'm so sorry for the loss of this foal. I for one, was really anxious to see what came of this cloning. My condolences to those who love Terremoto de Manizales so much...I know they are suffering over this. Best wishes for the next attempt!
