Very nice, thank you a bunch!
Am I correct in thinking that this horse came from the same farm, or breeding as the illusive favorite trocha horse I have? As de Gran Dinastia?
The first video is blurry, but the second one is earlier in training, so both videos aren't perfect, I just love the horse, for over a year.

Britz La Dinastia? great breeder! wonderful horses
As de La Gran Disnastia is by Secesor del Paso (son of Tayroma) x Canonera del Paso (daughter of Canonero by Don Danilo)
but if you noticed! both As's have from Rebelde and Rebelde was by Don Danilo!
Ha! who ever said Don Danilo was Fino?

Ha! It is perhaps my overreactive imagination, but the majority of close offspring I've ever seen are trocha with a few trote.
Because he was a phenom, himself, he was a reliable trocha producer.
That or there's a conspiracy to rival the Kennedy assination second shooter theory.
so the As De, is not the indicator for the commonality. Still, both are fascinating horses, and actually I have a pic of Rebelde I think.

Nope, I have a picture of Rebeldia, daughter of Rebelde out of mare named Gaira (no other info in Ochoa book).
She is however well known, it seems.
In fairness, I will note, that the Ochoa books site that Rebelde was by Don Danilo out of Zarzamora, so is 2X Danesa, and may be the stronger indicator in what it is we like about both horses, just to be open minded.

And I forgot to note, I have a pic of Rebelde, that I can see, but it is so small and hard for me to scan, you get a blur, all three ways I tried. However, Rebeldia lines, speaking of physical observable lines, her conformation form, is nearly identical to her father's.

Well, I'm confused! I thought all the largo gait came from Dan Danilo, at least that's the information I've found on several "largo" breeder web sites. None mention the "fino" in Dan Danilo just the "largo".

Well! that is a different topic HOW some breeders in this country have twisted the story for their own GAINS! is a disgrace....... and yet those are the same people that are so against DIAGONALS HORSES to become part of our association!!! jejejejejeje..... WHY???? maybe cause they are afraid the truth will come to surface? JMHO

No matter!
Consul II is a strikingly beautiful!

Yes, Consul II can join my wall of favorites, and he's present in alot of pedigrees.
Can perhaps someone help us with some more information with his record? Because of his frequent occurance in modern horses, it would be nice to see what made him popular.
The Don Danilo factor, I think, that Felix merely meant fino as in modality. My reference, as in the second shooter conspiracy is the thought tract used to track him, in Colombia he produced trocha trocha trocha, then somehow when the blood reacted with American soil, he produced fino, fino, fino (through offspring I mean in both instances).
It really is no matter except that there's so much done to deny that the instance of trocha is quite strong, the closer you get to Don Danilo.
It's horses like these, that draw me to Colombia next year...I'm totally infatuated (sp?) with the trocha horse.

Consul II was declared Fuera de Concurso in 1982, if I remember correctly. As to the other records, I am not sure.
I don't know about y'all..but I'm partial to the Trotones! jejejejejeje

Well me too Kerry! After I get a trocha y galope, I want a trote y galope. I have plenty fino. When I was young, I used to say I'd have one of every color, now I want one of each modality
