I'll upload my video tomorrow Felix. You can see the entire race most of the time, though there are times I just HAD to focus on that buckskin! And the dark bay stud, he was acting up the entire time! Not sure how his owner didn't get thrown!
DSDECKERT
The rider of that dark bay explained at the end that she has been using him in speed events - so he wanted to go all out.
Paintedhorizon
Yeah, barrel racing I think she said. LOL
Isn't that the horse Donnie rode both last year and the year prior?
DSDECKERT
I thought so too!
Paintedhorizon
I really think it was. I almost rode him last year but never got a chance to get back over there. He broke gait a lot last year too. If he'd stay in gait, he'd have a shot.
Paintedhorizon
Any idea where I can find the list of the competitors on this? The results aren't listed on the pfha website.
caliber
The only thing I could think of! on the video that I posted! They announced the participants
Paintedhorizon
tried that, I couldn't understand the announcer. LOL
I sent an email to the show secretary.
caliber
186 Candy Hurd
238 Sandy Sanders ( or something like that)
121 Jennifer Fisher La Suena de Cardenal
658 Cliff Lawrence Chispa Nocturna
Kerry W
Jennifer and Suena also placed 1st in Costume. Nice job!
caliber
And Cliff Lawrence Chispa Nocturna in driving
Paintedhorizon
Missed one, one is Janet Ladd riding Marco something... Maybe that's the Sandy Sanders.
Candy's horse is the one I really want to know the name, that's the buckskin that won.
Paintedhorizon
Okay, the girl on the dark horse that came in second, her name was Olivia.
The first place horse was Candy riding Messalina's Satellite. Someone on APF helped with that.
And I know Marco was the stud that kept acting up, ridden by Janet.
So what's missing here?
Paintedhorizon
Okay, just listened, here's what I got.
1st place - Candy Hurd - Messalina's Satellite -
2nd place - Santanas something - Olivia
3rd place - Cliff Lawrence - Chispa Nocturna
4th place - Janet Ladd on Marco something
caliber
WOW! I just check the First Place horse bloodline! WOW! EXCELLENT BLOODLINES
It's the same horse that won the year before last, 2006.
caliber
I didnt heard OLIVA! I heard Sandy something! sounded more like Sandy Sanders!
caliber
The Winner is a heck of a mare! In my opinion SHE IS FANTASTIC! and proven to be a real winner!
Last year she would have won...... but for some reason, she didn't attended to Nationals! But, here she is again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! # 1
I really like this mare!
Paintedhorizon
Only reason I know it was Olivia is from being there. Her group was down in the stands with a sign saying "Go Olivia!" and if you listen closely (she's the second one announced), they say the horses name first (Santana something) and then say ridden by Olivia.
caliber
Oh OK! jejejejejeje! that makes LOTS of sense!

Oh...Lynn Gallup owns Caballos Cassietta now. Would you look at that...Don Danilo. Seems like every year, Don Danilo is in the pedigree of the largo race winner. Isn't that something?
Paintedhorizon
Is he in Bronce's pedigree?
Any idea of the other two horses Kerry?
Kerry W
If Bronce has Coral LaCE...he's got Danilo...a couple of times.
The other ones are (I'm pretty sure)
Marcopunto Dos (Janet Ladd)
Olivia Chittendon on Santana's Latigolita
4enduro
Don Danilo de Casta, in Messalina's lines, is not the same Don Danilo (no suffix) as is in Bronce's lines.
caliber
Ed, look at the Juan Juan Lines.... that is Don Danilo, the FC Colombian Trocha y Galope horse.
Dr. Martinez, did named his horse Don Danilo de Casta, honoring Don Danilo.
When I see Messalina's, is like seeing her Great Grand sire Don Juan de Casta..... Gorgeous horse.... buckskin if I remember correctly.
4enduro
thank you I see that now Felix/ I knew that just missed it.
Oh yes that Leyenda La Joya from the Domincan is a really great daughter of Ladrillo who produced many great well gaited horses. I concur about those good bloodlines.Juan Juan is showing up in horses I am liking.( Partial to buckskins)
I have to add that the rider did a greatly diciplined job of consistant riding and the horse seemed to really enjoy herself and that is what really counts.
caliber
OH WOW! Ladrillo! another one that has been an OLD TIME favorite!
I bet your mare is stunning!
I wonder if Ladrillo still with us. Last I saw of him was in Dominican Republic a couple of years back...
4enduro
Oh no I don't have any offspring (like them though)but a friend of mine Carlos Duran has a full sibling of Leyenda that Lindsay and I have ridden in Vegas named Centinela La Joya ,a stallion from the Domincan Republic.
Paintedhorizon
She had a foal last year, that's why.
